Santa Margarita Volcano

A wide and easy-to-enjoy crater, perfect for a leisurely outing. It is often combined with Croscat and Fageda in complete routes.

Jordà Beech Forest

An exceptional beech forest because it grows on flat ground and at low altitude, situated on a lava flow from Croscat (with characteristic “tossols”).

Montsacopa Volcano (Olot)

A very good option if you want a more urban plan: it is a semi-urban and accessible itinerary to discover the “city” volcanoes of Olot.

“TOP” route to see everything (full day)
Fageda d’en Jordà + Santa Margarida + Croscat : a classic of the park to discover three icons in a single day.
Short and very visual route (half day)
Grederes del Croscat (Itinerary 15) : ideal if you want a concentrated and very informative excursion.
"Olot volcanoes" route (2–3 h)
Montsacopa and Montolivet (Route 3) : combines volcanic landscape and city heritage.

Practical advice (and responsible visiting)

Take a Romanesque route in the morning, discover the Bianya Valley in the afternoon… and return to the campsite to disconnect.

Wear comfortable shoes: the area is volcanic and the terrain can be uneven.
Respect itineraries and signage: help preserve a very fragile environment.
If you want to avoid crowds, visit early in the morning or during the week (especially in Fageda/Santa Margarida/Croscat).
